Skins Homosexuality

In skins we see the chracter Maxxie revealing that he is gay, the reason for this is that we that maxxie presents himself as being quite emotionally upset and we also see the way in which he is dressed so this shows the mise-en-scene. the way in maxxie portrays himself as being outside alone by himself as an outcast, different, segregated, separated from him friend. We also see behind him the use of yellow behind and this somewhat help represents his feelings that he is quite sensitive and confused but is still happy but misery is still at the forefront that he has finally taken this load of his shoulder. The sound in the background from the party therefore becomes lower as maxxie's conversation is more hightened. There is also the use of incidental music which therefore portrays or accompanies events or changes in the scene which also therefore contributes to highten the scene.

Diagetic, Non-Diagetic, Pleonastic and Contrapuntal Sound

We see that in this scene a brilliant example of Pleonastic and Non  sound used effectively. We see the main character Nathan and the rest of them using diagetic speech effectively (speech). We also see the use of music being played through their headphines and graually the volume being raised up, this helps represent the youths of today the type of genre they listen to as we hear the famous Lady GaGa song just dance so this proof that they are somewhat socially active to keep up to date with the music listened today.

TV Period Drama

in the clip pride and prejuidice we see the character known as Mr Darcy is shown as a rich person who is very well off because we see a close up shot of him and him wearing a very posh attire. We see the close up shot of him with him in his posh attire and we then see the rich setting/environment he lives in due to the fact of a wde shot.
We then see a wide shot of panning when we see the portrait of Mr Darcy this an example of cutaway.
